It all began with an idea.
Get Fit For Life was born from passion and motivation when my business partner decided to leave the fitness industry, which was a shock to me and our gym community. Due to pandemic-related financial pressures, our gym's format became unsustainable, and my business partner chose to move on to pursue other goals. However, I remained passionate about supporting our clients in their fitness journeys, believing that I'm in the business of 'saving lives,' especially for older adults.
After considering various options for the gym's future, I realised that to continue helping others, I needed to prioritise myself and do what I enjoy. I dug deep to discover what I truly loved – Pilates, Bootcamp, and VITALmoves circuit style groups – all under the 'Get Fit For Life' umbrella.
The name 'Get Fit For Life' resonated with me, embodying the mission of:
Making exercise relevant
Educating people about the risks of inactivity
Promoting the benefits of being active, particularly for older adults.
In addition to providing a variety of exercise options, the exercise classes foster friendships and provide support, even when clients can't attend classes.
I believe that exercise should be enjoyable (fun social experience), beneficial (general health and wellbeing), and functional (support everyday movements).
