What is Pilates?

What is Pilates?… It is a method of exercise and movement intended to improve strength, flexibility, muscular control, body awareness and posture. It is slow, gentle on the joints, and low impact.

Sounds easy right? Wrong! When performed correctly and with the upmost precision, Pilates can be very challenging for even the most experienced of athletes. (Exercise Right, 2020)

Pilates on the mat with Deb, using small props, is on every Monday and Saturday 8am, plus Thursday at 7am…except Public Holidays or as advised. Cost = $16 each session (when purchased as block of 10), or $20 casual. Session runs between 50 mins and 1 hour.

Caveat: if you have an injury or other health condition, you will need to receive clearance from your GP or Allied Health Professional before joining a general Pilates session.
